A weekly walk-and-talk for founders in Bend, Oregon
Founders Walk Club is a once-weekly, unstructured gathering for founders, solopreneurs, and entrepreneurs who want to get outside, meet other builders, and have real conversations (without networking theater or forced structure).
We meet every Monday at 9:00am at Sisters Coffee at the Old Mill. From there, we walk and talk for about an hour. When we’re done, we head back to the coffee shop, hang out, grab another drink if we want, and ease into the week together.
No sign-ups. No tickets. No agenda. Just show up (dogs and babies are welcome to tag along, too).
Some weeks there are a lot of people. Some weeks there are only a few. Either way, the walk happens.
This is about movement, connection, and honest conversation; the kind that’s hard to find online or at traditional startup events.
What to Expect
We gather at Sisters Coffee (Old Mill) at 9:00am
Quick hellos and informal introductions
A casual group walk for ~60 minutes at a conversational pace
Talk about what you’re building, what’s challenging, what’s exciting, or don't talk about work at all
Ask for feedback, offer perspective, or just listen
We head back to the coffee shop afterward to hang out, continue conversations, or head out
If the weather isn’t great, we skip the walk and simply hang out at the coffee shop.
There’s no formal start or end, no route to memorize, and no obligation to stay the whole time.
Who It’s For
Founders Walk Club is open to:
Startup founders
Solopreneurs and freelancers
Small business owners
Anyone building something and thinking deeply about it
Early-stage or seasoned. Full-time or side project. If you identify as a founder (or are on your way there), you’re welcome.
This is a walk club, not a run club. The pace is intentionally accessible so we can talk comfortably and include everyone.
Why We Do It
Founding can be isolating. Most “founder events” are loud, performative, or transactional.
This is different.
Walking side by side lowers the pressure. Being outside helps ideas move. Showing up regularly builds familiarity and trust over time.
Founders Walk Club isn’t a networking event, it’s a weekly rhythm. A small ritual to start the week grounded, social, and reminded that you’re not building alone.
While I (Thomas) try to be there whenever I’m in town, the walk isn’t dependent on me. This is community-powered. As long as people show up, it continues.
What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes
Weather-appropriate layers
Coffee (or buy some when you get there)
Curiosity and openness
A question you’ve been carrying, or nothing at all
Important Notes
This is a free, informal, community-led gathering.
There’s no coaching, pitching, or structured feedback unless it’s invited.
Everyone is responsible for their own comfort and limits.
Be respectful, inclusive, and mindful of the group.
No RSVP. No commitment. Just show up on Monday morning.

See you on the walk.
